Q. You spoke about how the word chosen for the one word image should come from the class. What if the class simply cannot come up with anything interesting?
A. Oh that happens! But I am always ready for such classes – the ones that give us the snarky “look”. What I do is, on the spot, get an object in mind for the image and then just point to the back of the room, pretending that there is a student there. I say, “Wheel! I like that!” Then by the time the class has finished turning back to the front of the room after having first turned around to see the source of the suggestion, we have roue – wheel written on the board, and off we go to build the image!
