Mixed Classes

Craig observes:

I’m finding that classes with more native speakers can almost never make up a fun story together. Wonder why that is. It’s actually just one of my classes so far. There are only 3 or 4 non-native speakers and for the life of them they can not get interested in a story or even finish one – go figure.

The non-native speakers don’t understand bc the native speakers are probably causing you, without your noticing, to speak faster. I’m not sure it is possible to reach a few kids who are non-native speakers when they are buried in with a bunch of native speakers.

I’m wondering if counselors have ever scheduled kids into Physics classes where half the students in the class already held PhDs in Physics. The non-degreed students might be at a disadvantage. Possibly….
