My artists this year – probably because of the iPads – are getting way too much into their drawing during the creation of the story. They give me little eye contact and miss a ton of CI. So I demoted them all. They now have to draw the story on their iPads as soon as I post it on my class website (same WordPress format as this blog) that evening. That’s why I’m the boss – I make the hard decisions. With the quiz writers permanently fired, the only person who should be looking down in class is the story writer, which is why those story writers have to be super high quality kids.
