I love this quotation-my colleague has shared this with me. Sometimes I find him just sitting in his rocking chair in the classroom, relaxing, not doing anything and I admire that.
I think one of the most important things I can do with my students is trying to make eye contact with each of them in the beginning of class. I got this idea from Susie Gross and it surprises me how often I forgot. But amongst all this stuff we have to do as teachers, this is one thing they don’t tell us we have to do, but it can be the most significant.
Ben if you really want the entire list, I will email it to you from school, but it is about five pages long. I generated the original list about 8 years ago. The list above is what needs to be added to those pages….
