Q. When you describe the transportation scenes to get the actors from level 5 to level 6, you don’t mention how much time they take and you don’t build that time into the overall 25–35 minute desired time frame. Wouldn’t the transportation scenes add time to the story and “blow it up” too much?
A. Yes it would. But I think it would be ne in that case to have a story of up to 45 minutes. The only reason to keep the story short is to keep people from getting caught up in the big mess that stories can become. What the transportation scene does, however, is just the opposite. It is actually a brain break for everyone. It is a fun visually dominant and physical letting o of steam and so it helps things along.
