Craig had an idea that at this time of year if we create a one word image of a turkey we could have fun riffing on it. He explains:
Hey Ben –
….I had each class come up with an invisibles story based on a turkey they created together, one who committed a crime or was wrongfully accused. Then we made pardoning the turkey part of the story. An example of an extension activity from the story and reading thus created would be to write a letter to the president asking that he use his authority to pardon said bird.
My comment is that whenever you start with an image in Phase A, the Create phase, and then follow on around the star through to Phase 5, the Extend phase, you will automatically create something interesting and the star sequence will support that kind of spontaneity. We could do this at the different holiday periods throughout the year. Than you Craig for this excellent idea!
