  1. Steven Ordiano

I am currently doing MT with Le Petit Nicolas. The students are hooked. I feel like I can go fast when talking about a cool scene. I am just staying in bounds these last two days before Spring Break.
    Here are my steps:

    1. Warm-up: I type out a student’s freewrite and polish any minor mistakes (good idea? I don’t know) or if I want, I type up my own story with vocabulary from WAY back. This gives the students a good twist. 5 questions follow of Who, What, Where, How and Why.

    2. Today, Friday, I will bypass step 1. I take a few screen shots of compelling scenes from the movie. I can decide to have a student be the “timer” person but today I won’t. I have students face the screen and hear me rattle off in french. I ask students personalized questions related to the movie.

    3. Watch a good chuck of the movie with subtitles.
