This also from Brad today. Looks like a good project.
Dear Family and Friends,
As you may know, we started a family business and ministry called Riegg Language Concepts, in which we teach Spanish using the Bible. It has been a most satisfying and enjoyable venture for us. By God’s grace, we have seven wonderful classes, totaling about 100 students, who range in age from eight to 85. Without your encouragement and prayers, we would not have been so successful in our first year.
We are writing to tell you about an exciting opportunity we have to serve with our classes in Baja California, Mexico this May 8th to 15th. This is a mere five weeks away. Our team will be serving with an inspiring ministry called Rancho Santa Marta, which includes a home for abandoned children and the only accredited school for mentally challenged children in all of Mexico: http://www.ranchosantamarta.org/templates/System/default.asp?id=22705
While at this working ranch, our team will assist with work projects, spend time at the special education school, help to lead church services for the children and community, and take evangelism trips to Baja villages.
Our family is responsible to raise $3500, and to find 35 people who will pray for us while we are away. Any contribution you can make toward this goal, whether committing to pray or giving financially, will be very much appreciated.
In early February we began a fund raising project that we are calling a “Good-News-A-Thon.” Instead of a “Walk-A-Thon,” we decided to personally hand people the attached Gospel message, “A Father’s Love Letter.”
We are currently working to gather prayer support and sponsors for our “Good -News-A-Thon.” Would you consider partnering with us? We will commit to contacting you after arriving back in the States to let you know how your prayers were answered and how God worked through our team.
If you want to sponsor us, you can donate a set amount or on a per-Father’s-Letter-shared basis (see the form below). By the time you receive this email our family will have passed out about 300 Father’s Love Letters. It has been really exciting to share the gospel in this way. We have had really great conversations with folks and grown a lot in our faith in the process.
If you would like to pray for us, please send us an email, and we will put you on the prayer list.
We are excited to see the many ways God will use our team to impact the children of Rancho Santa Marta and the surrounding communities.
May God bless you,
Brad, Marcy, Christopher, Matthew, Hannah, Mary and Josiah
