A 2nd year student made this post today, and I thought you’d appreciate it:
“Had the amazing opportunity to talk with some Mexicans tonight at the gym entirely in Spanish. It was fabulous…. I had seen them a few times there before, so I figured, what the heck, I may as well go an see if they’re willing to talk with me. So I said, “Hey! How are you doing? You speak Spanish, no? Would you mind helping me practice a little?” Very graciously, he said he would speak with me, and we talked together all in Spanish for about 15 minutes. ๐ Fue fabuloso. Hablamos de que trabajo el hace, donde estudio espanol, de donde vengo, de donde viene, que deporte hace su hijo, que voy a hacer para trabajo en el futuro, cuantas veces por semana que vengo al gimnasio, y muchas cosas mas….
And he said that anytime that we saw each other at the gym again, he would talk with me and help me practice. ๐ Yay! Totally turned my mayonnaise day into more like a pizza and dark-chocolate day :)”
