You know, I keep thinking of something outrageous that we could do here. Part of me thinks it’s absurd, but another part sees it happening. What if 300 people wrote emails to the people attacking John? On the same day at the same time, say next weekend. We could each grab different stuff from the Primers. A nice succinct paragraph from each of us. Of course it would need John’s approval, but why not? And John could not let us do it, because then he would really be in a weird situation. But what do we do then, sit around and let them attack?
We were all wondering on Friday…”What happened to Bracey?” I last saw him Thursday afternoon. We thought he was coming back on Friday. Really sad situation. And sickening. I am in for sending a letter if we get the go ahead. And I understand also if that will bring more damage.
I talked to him Thursday at lunch. Definitely felt his more subdued energy than I remember last year. He may have just needed to recharge in a different way than being at a conference. I hope you are getting some R&R my friend.
What DID happen? Why was he not there on Friday?
Sorry about the disappearing act. There was a big 7th grade field trip on Friday that I was going to skip until I heard that a bunch of other teachers had bailed already bailed on it. So last minute I decided that I couldn’t leave my 7th grade comrades short-handed, so I bit the bullet and went on the trip.
I really felt lucky that I got a chance to experience Thursday in Maine. Seeing all of you was absolutely wonderful and truly inspiring 🙂
You are a noble man, John.
We love and care about you so much John. It was wonderful to see you on Thursday and you were definitely missed on Friday….but we are so grateful to be connected to such a good man.
hugs and love,
Laurie
Awwwww! You’re the greatest, Laurie. I didn’t get nearly enough Laurie time. I will definitely be attending either iFLT or NTPRS this year, so I will hopefully get more Laurie then.
So bummed you were not able to return on Friday! We missed you!
