I’m teaching a family of three boys. The StarChart is producing great results for me too.
In our story (image below) the oldest boy really likes to read. He’s reading in a tree and he’s very sad because he’s reading a fashion book. He’s crying and crying, because he’s jealous that his brother is a model in the book and he’s not a model and he’s not in the book.
This was created by ALL of them. There was so much laughter. Especially after the Reveal. The StarChart keeps things simple. It stays personal but it doesn’t get into the weeds.
This is just a tableau with card talk. We would never have gotten to any of these words in lesson 2 of Spanish 1. The time flies by. And they get it. Thanks again for the Star.
