I just got this celebration report from Angela Pidgeon who has been with our community for a very long time although somewhat quiet. This is the kind of report from the field that I most value on this PLC, and there is a lot to value here. Angela’s success is what our group is all about. We thank her and congratulate her.

So last night I did a search for ‘Observation’ on the blog just for my own nerves and to pump myself up with all of the words of encouragement everyone offers!
I continued a story from a previous day, planning on a short quiz over the entire story at the end of class.
Here is the feedback I received. I just had to share. Thank you so much for providing this format so we can share TPRS with the world 🙂
“What an effective way to engage students and challenge them to think critically. Students were engaged by acting it out (nonlinguistic) and by your questioning. Students made comparisons with the pop-up grammar. Students were set up for success as you prepared them deeply before the assessment. I would love to speak to you further about TPRS, as it certainly proved to be highly effective as observed in today’s lesson. Thank you for sharing your classroom today. We are fortunate to have your strengths and talents serving our students. ”
