Ben, according to my extremely limited experience with the Invisibles (2 characters with their stories and started one more OWI which will get into a story I’m sure) my classes didn’t lose interest although I didn’t manage to end the story in one period. Maybe it depends on the classes?
The fact that they didn’t lose interest even though it took more than one period is a good sign. Congrats on that. My own feeling is that 25 minutes is the ideal. But, as we always say, there are no rules.
Hey Ben, here´s another question for the Invisibles prompt. Our department is giving ACTFL´s “AAPPL Exam” before Spring Break and one of the topics is daily routine.
Therefore….I’ve added the questions “What time does the character get up and what time do they go to bed?”
I will see how it works with the 7 Step.
I noticed one character the student put “He doesn’t sleep, he’s always awake”

As long as the story/7 QLs is not being DISRUPTED with targeting structures you are fine. There is some tipping point where our pre-occupation with targets destroys our ability to make the story interesting, and we need to stay on the right side of that line. I am convinced that won’t ever happen with you. It would never happen with me bc I don’t give a —-.
