My thoughts on this have not changed at all over the past year. We have to be able to answer the question, “How would I teach, if I were granted total freedom?” From there, we can adjust our practices to match our unique circumstances. We should never allow our tormentors to define the parameters of our conversations about what works best for our students.
Great Q, John. (“How would I teach, if I were granted total freedom?”)
1. This is what Ben /Tina are saying.
2. You have a great way to think about that in your recent Textbook/Teaching post.
