Tina and I (CI Liftoff) have a few books now on teachable.com that are very good. One is about the why of non-targeted CI instruction. It is a tremendously valuable look at the entire topic of non-targeted comprehensible input for $7, which is the cost of all the Bite Size Books, of which Tina and I plan to have 50 of one year from now.
After a year and a half, Tina and I have decided to move forward irrespective of what people think because we are now more than convinced that traditional TPRS does not hold a candle to NT instruction. We are going to push NT instruction to the forefront of the discussion no matter what the opposition.
So what I have decided to do here with the PLC with all of this is of course continue our usual general banter about whatever comes up about CI instruction in general, but I want to also start moving the discussion here more and more to NT instruction, which in my mind is the high road of escape from the TPRS hells.
If you are happy with TPRS and targets you may want to join the other sites and learn from the people there, since I will definitely be moving the discussion to NT – this isn’t just an idle threat. But just to be completely clear we will also not stop our usual discussion habits that we have been dong for so long now about our personal questions and concerns about CI in general. We’ll do both.
