So Sabrina recorded her class in early Feb. I haven’t gotten to it yet. jen is planning to do it in March. The problem is I ain’t feelin’ it. I should have gotten on it right away but I got into this wrting thing. Now the time difference is weird.
To remedy this I suggests that all teachers, in this case the three of us, be required to film the story in the same two week window. This would keep the interest up in all classes. Everything including the sharing of the videos at the end and possible skyped class-reflection discussions would have to be done in that one window.
Anyone think I should add that to the rules?

??? Not sure. I am excited to try it, so I still plan to do it once I am back in school. I don’t think we should force ourselves to do it. So if you “ain’t feelin’ it, no worries.
To me, it seems like the actual showing of the video and me doing another version w/ my class…that has to happen in a short time frame. And probably if the two (or more) groups “competing” want to do the whole skype thing, the whole process has to happen in a short time frame. But I guess for me, I am looking at this opportunity to 1) show my students another CI class in action and 2) inspire them to get into the process 3) to learn about myself as a teacher by using the film to see what I actually do in class, get feedback, etc.
For this particular story I am not planning to Skype, mostly because I just want to try out the process of filming my class, and also because so much time has gone by after Sabrina filmed.
Just my 2 cents!
Agree about the skype. It always sounds cool but then is hard to implement. Let’s add that in later maybe. I will film the story Le Coureur in the next week or so in one of my classes. We can exchange links, make it a practice run with the three of us, then talk about what worked, what we can do differently, etc.
