Bryce sent us a potpourri of four posts that I have been wanting to get up here and there are a few from Michele as well waiting in the wings. Here is the first of Byrce’s:
Here is a collection to get us talking about what songs students should hear and be able to sing before they leave each level of Spanish class.
When you pre-teach the words before you sing, songs become fun, comprehensible input. Build up a repertoire and you can sing all period!
These songs are Classic Folk Songs, Spanish Standards, Children’s Songs or Enduring Popular Songs. All are part of Hispanic culture and/or the general Spanish class experience. Nothing new here, these just stick to the enduring classics so you can use them next year.
Which ones would you cut? What would you add?
