Big CI Book

I have a request of anyone in our group who has been using the Book CI Book over the past year. I know that the Australian group has been using it, right Bu Cathy? Anyway, if you have seen anything in there like typos or content errors, please let me know. By content errors I mean like if you see that we are doing something different now vs. when the book came out last year. An example is how ROA has changed since publication of the book – it is really a reading gold mine now, in my opinion. I request this because Teachers Discovery wants the book for their catalogue. A very cool message was sent to me by Caryn my contact at TD:

…we’re excited to see TPRS gathering so much momentum (and having such an effect on WL teaching in general… all the talk of limiting vocab, focusing on high frequency words and structures, and de-emphasizing grammar looks to me like a direct result of TPRS’ influence, but I’m not really qualified to say that, more on that later) and in general we’re excited about the shift toward proficiency-based methods and focusing on a deeper understanding of culture because it meshes with our values. However, we’re realizing that we have not moved quickly enough with our product offering so we are making some changes at the moment to get with the program….
