Another bio, this one from Alison in Washington:

Hi everyone,

This will need to be short and sweet, but will cover the basics.  I teach at a medium-sized suburban high school in Spokane, Washington.  I’ve taught all levels of French during the last 15 years.  Right now, I  teach the level one students so that I am free to teach Advanced Placement English also.  I share the French gig with a terrific colleague who joined me at the National Conference in Las Vegas last summer.  We went on a bit of a whim just to try to find out what ideas were floating around and came home completely excited and energized to make real changes in our approach to teaching.  This has by far been the best year of language teaching of my career.  The pace is relaxed, fun, peaceful and my students are showing tremendous gains.  They have a confidence and comfort in their language comprehension that I’ve never seen in previous years (except from the very best students.)  What a joy TPRS has been.  I appreciate all I’ve learned from reading what you all do.  This is a great community – a true source of professional development.

Merci!
