Just a few quick thoughts before going to school: (1) Starting with student generated pictures for characters is a much more interesting launching point into stories than any of the premises of my best stories. (2) I used to work so hard that as the last class left for the day I would sink into a comfy chair and nap for 30 minutes. The Invisibles are just easy conversations in class. (3) The talk/read the next day about we talked about double punch that Tina described doing in her classes is marvelous. Just enough time between the talking and reading so that the slowest processors are reading easily just like the fastest processors and there is less obvious difference in class between the kids. Less obvious difference means that my slow processors do not have as many opportunities to compare themselves and feel frustrated, we are more united.
