I would like to know what others did this year with the jobs. There are like 50 more in the list.
(Note that the quiz writer has been given the ax, but in certain classes if you have that rare kid who can actually write a good quick quiz, I would use them. But quick quizzes themselves are soon headed for the chopping blog if we are to have our way with establishing authentic assessment in the next months here. I never thought I would ever say that, as the quick quizzes have been, along with jGR, my main source of data in grading – but they are false indicators. We have to grow up and accept that over the next year. Those of us who are on the Clarity in Assessment train can’t lie about assessment any more. We will change and it will be monumental and it will force MAJOR changes in curriculum. And when that happens, Katy bar the door.
