…today, a young 9th grade biology teacher prepared her lesson on the inner workings of a human cell using my copy of Ben Slavic’s Big CI Book. I suggested using the TPRS/CI strategies in order to provide CI to these low level kids since every other method had failed. The cell terminology is certainly the equivalent of teaching a foreign language. Drum roll: y’all, it was wildly successful! Exceeded all of her expectations. She said, “I gotta get me one of these! (The Big CI Book)” Y’all, we danced in the hallway “como Odell Beckham, Jr.”….
