One of our group members has a couple of questions and I always like to include the group in such discussions. Please chime in:
Hey Ben,
I have a couple of questions that might be completely stupid, however. They have just come up during my attempts at using TPRS.
1. When choosing structures, is there a particular way to choose what is best to introduce? Should I just stick to required grammar they learn in their classes with Japanese teachers?
2. When doing PQA, is that based on the story outline? It seems a little confusing because when I do PQA, am I trying to find out details for the story, or am I merely trying to give them practice with the structures based on personal information about them (so nothing should be embellished, just circled in a factual kind of way)? When I move into a story, am I supposed to circle all the details of the story in order?
I hope that makes sense. I’m having a difficult time moving from one to the other.

So in PQA that is just to get reps on the three structures. Now, sometimes info from the PQA session will make it into the story. No big deal. This is just a question of practice, like riding a bike.
Now, if you DO embellish the PQA, go for it. I call that Extended PQA in my book PQA in a Wink!
