Hi Charlotte,
I keep finding more & more nifty, CI-friendly apps listed for iPads for Chinese, so I think there must be plenty of them for other languages, too. Ex: comic book-style comics in Chinese, with clickable English translations (the Dim Sum Warriors series I just learned about this week), Chinese Picture Book Reader, and Mandarin Tap.
I would take a look at iTunes Store for iPad apps, and make a list of those you think could be useful in class.
I’m guessing you have Garageband on the ipad? That is a great resource for language student or teacher.
I will research apps. I do use Garage Band. Thanks!
Charlotte I interviewed Annick Chen after school on how she uses the ipad – she has studied its use with CI extensively. I will get her thoughts to you here as soon as I can clear everything else off of the table, in the next few days hopefully.

Who uses a tablet to enter jgr/ Rubric grades ASAP in their classroom and on the go? I am toying with the thought of buying an inexpensive amazon hd 6 for $100 for the sole purpose of quickly entering daily grades and clearing paper from my desk sooner, thereby decreasing my stress of having non-recorded rubric grades!
Will it work? Will having the portable tablet allow me to enter rubric grades standing in the hall between classes vs. having to sit down behind my desk?
