So I teach preschool through Spanish 3 at a small Christian charter school. This is my first year using TPRS and this is my 3rd year teaching. I have the elementary and middle school only once a week. My problem has been the Jr. high and mostly the 7th grade. I have certain students in that class that do wonderfully and then the others that have terrible ideas and they seem to forget everything by the next week. How do I teach this class? This is the middle of the year but I feel like I am starting over with them. I was doing a dicta with them today and had a student ask me how this was helping her learn Spanish. Then after class I had a student ask me for worksheets so she could work on Spanish between classes. I am not sure what to do. I don’t have a problem with any of my other classes and strangely enough my 8th graders love my class and have told me that it is their favorite class. Any advice would be great.
