Ben,
Holy crud! I have news. On Thursday, I’m going to an articulation meeting with the other Level 1 Spanish teacher in my department just for a half day. We just found out about it last minute on Monday. It was like “Surprise there’s this meeting and we called you a sub and you’re going.”
Anyway, my supervisor just sent us the meeting details for our department; talking points if you will. Without even telling me or anything, TPRS is its own bullet on the list!!!! She hasn’t spoken with me but I’m imagining she’s going to ask that I talk about it with the middle school teachers in my district.
What the heck do I do? What should I say to be efficient but get my point across? I know this happened to someone else on the PLC but where should I look? I remember reading about it. I’m trying not to get my hopes up but this is a HUGE nod in my direction.
I can’t believe she didn’t even tell me….but then again, I’m not surprised because everything is left unsaid in my school. All the more reason why this acknowledgement is incredible. Eek!
Your colleague in NJ,
Jen
