With this installment we have the final chapter in Nordseepirat, with congratulations to Robert. Now, let’s be clear about what this means in terms of our creating materials together, hopefully using Ben’s list as we learn to work together in that interest. This novel will be available for use by PLC members at no charge until Robert decides otherwise. In other words, it is a way of using the group to test the waters to see if Nordseepirat may possibly move into the mainstream of materials out there as a novel.
Anyone wanting to use this text can do so by clicking on the “Novels” category here – Nordseepirat is the first of what we hope will be many novels here in that category. Johnna should be testing it soon or is already. Over time, if the energy is there, Robert and his Ben’s List team (Martin and Brigitte) come in with versions in other languages, much like Pauvre Anne exists in different languages with adapted cultural details, and the book perhaps takes on a life beyond the PLC.
Then I would stick it on the sales side of this website and people all over the world would start sending Robert millions of dollars, not to mention how text-starved teachers in the TPRS world would have an excellent new alternative in planning their readings for the year.
I will assume that Brigitte and Martin and Robert and Johnna are working together in that interest. Anyway, that is the way I see it now that the novel is done. Of course, this is very new to all us, so please, as usual, chime in with ideas that can make this Ben’s List* idea of creating and sharing and testing high quality TPRS classsroom materials together as a team work to fill a really big need in the TPRS world.

Rückkehr
Huntington Beach Strand, Heute
Es ist nicht mehr dunkel sondern hell, und Götz schwimmt zum Licht. Als er schwimmt, nimmt ihn die Monsterwelle und wirft ihn hart auf den Sand. Für einen Moment ist alles wieder dunkel, und Geoff – denn er ist wieder Geoff und nicht mehr Götz – schnappt nach Luft.
Viele Leute stehen um Geoff herum. Sie schauen ihn an, tun aber nichts.
>>Get back! Give him air!<<, ruft laut die Stimme eines Rettungsschwimmers.
Oh nein! denkt Geoff. Ich will nicht nochmals ins Krankenhaus. Alles ist in Ordnung. Bitte, lieber Gott, alles muss in Ordnung sein.
Der Rettungsschwimmer lässt Geoff nicht aufstehen. Nach kurzer Zeit kommen die Sanitäter. Nach einer Untersuchung sagen sie, dass alles in Ordnung ist. Falls Geoff aber Kopfschmerzen oder Gefühllosigkeit spürt, soll er sich sofort zum Krankenhaus bringen lassen oder 911 anrufen.
Gott sei Dank! denkt Geoff und sagt <<OK>>.
Staci ist auch gekommen. Sie ist sehr froh, dass nichts Schlimmes passiert ist. Als Geoff, Staci und Miguel zurück zu ihren Sachen gehen, hört Miguel nicht auf, über alles zu sprechen. Er erzählt, Geoff war auf einmal nicht mehr da, dann war er wieder da.
Geoff schaut Staci an und sagt: >>Habe ich dir je gesagt, dass ich dich liebe? . . . Und dein Bruder spinnt!” Staci lächelt und küsst Geoff auf die Wange.
Als sie zu ihrem Platz auf dem Strand kommen, steckt Geoff eine Hand in die Tasche seiner Boardshorts. (Er trägt keine lange Hose mehr, sie ist durch die Welle verloren gegangen.) Er nimmt eine Halskette aus der Tasche und legt sie um seinen Hals. Eine kleine Reliquie hängt an der Kette. Es ist eine Reliquie von Sankt Vinzenz.
Staci fragt: <<Ist die neu? Ich habe diese Halskette noch nie gesehen.>>
Geoff lächelt und sagt: <<Ach die, die habe ich irgendwo aufgelesen*. Sie ist alt.>>
Staci sagt nichts, aber sie schaut Geoff an und denkt viel über Miguels und Geoffs Worte nach.
