I have started to hang lists of verbs up so that I don’t have a Verb Wall per se, which takes up too much space, I place each poster of verbs (10 verbs on one laminated sheet) on a hook on which the verb sheet hangs. When the kids know them, can sign them and instantly identify them, I get the poster under it and hang it up. I only write the third person singular on them. It saves a lot of wall space. We do a verb or two a day to start class, along with a few words from the Word Wall as discussed elsewhere on this site. We think of ways we can remember the verb. It just takes a few minutes and is a great way to get the kids settled and into the flow of the class. I never did like starting class full on in L2. They need that little transition, and rote memory work with gestures is a great way to do that.
