Got this from Brigitte. Please respond if interested. If we could get Harrell out from LA it would only take him about 37 days on horseback. One can always hope. Here is Brigitte’s request:
Somehow, I ended up on the planning committee for next year’s NYSAFLT conference in Saratoga, NY. The fact that my department head will be chairing it might have had something to do with it. Anyway, since I’m a new member, I essentially just have to sit and listen. However, I was given the task of finding willing (and able) presenters for German, especially somebody who might be able to speak about the new German AP exam. It was also mentioned during the meeting this past Saturday that TPRS should be given a platform as it is becoming “more and more important”! They had a TPRS strand at the last conference in Rochester but are not sure if they want to do that again. So, that’s not a definite “no”, right? Anyway, in terms of finding somebody who can give a presentation on AP German, I was wondering if there was anybody on your blog who might either be interested themselves or steer me in the right direction. The reason I am checking with you first (and not AATG) is that I am hoping to find somebody who can do both (talk about AP in a TPRS context). Obviously, I have a hidden agenda here but they don’t have to know that.
Thanks so much in advance,
Brigitte
