Yug'tun

We’re getting great stuff from Alaska beyond the wonderful cooler weather we’ve been having. This just came in from Michele:
Ben, you have got to watch this video!
It’s about the Alaskan network, so the first five minutes are teachers telling what it means to them to be connected to others.
Then there are sweet little kindergartners telling why they think it’s important to learn Yug’tun. (I think that’s the right spelling.)
Finally, there is a wonderful teacher explaining how she used a full cycle of storytelling, dancing, and reading to help kids be able to write their own stories. (I heard that when the filmmakers went into this classroom to film the kids, they were passing notes about what the next kid should say. The filmmakers were shocked to find that the kids were writing in Yug’tun.)
It will make your heart glad.
