I’m not a big TPR guy but I got an email from a colleague today that is definitely worth sharing if you are in fact doing any TPR to start the year. This description of TPR is excellent and I highly recommend it:
We go through my TPR list. I started the first day with about 4 or 5 commands and I add a few every day so we’re at about 25 commands that I randomly scramble and we spend about 10 minutes doing TPR, my class is almost like an aerobics class! I have them do it eyes opened, and then eyes closed for a little bit. Then I do a couple of individual commands to individual students to double check comprehension.
