Video Comments – 3

Video Comments are a new and very useful and easy way to get into each others’ classrooms in a virtual way.

Angie videotaped her class.

Sent it to YouTube in under a minute. No computer involved. Just an iPad.

No effort so far.

Then cut and pasted the link here.

Alisa clicked on it.

No effort. No iMovie, no editing, no hassle.

Alisa told Angie what she saw. In that way Alisa transported herself into Angie’s classroom but only after an invitation from our Angie. No trips to the airport. No $2000 outlay for a conference where those big conferences have now become so generalized in nature and rife with egos trying to prove how their way of doing TPRS is the bst way when THERE IS NO BEST WAY THERE IS ONLY THE WAY EACH OF US DO IT.

So Alisa went into Alisa’s classroom and observed her teaching via the internet. The key lies with the person willing to put their ass out there. I have never captured a video of my better classes, the really good ones always happen when not being filmed, but I put that stuff here anyway because we are in a war and have to help each other on behalf of the mental health and self esteem of millions of children.

It takes people like Angie to make video commenting work.
