Ben, you should be a guest on the Tea with BVP podcast. That would be awesome. Blaine Ray and Carol Gaab have been guests already too. It would be a great way to get the word out there about the invisibles too.
I’m like BVP’s #1 fan but he really does need to step up his game with guests…and also cut down on the banter! I don’t want to hear how “I’m so tired….” for the first 15 minutes of the podcast and then someone calls with a question in the last 5 minutes and he says he doesn’t have time for it…..
I don’t fit into that world, Greg, but thanks for the thought. By the way, if we can find some time to talk on the phone, maybe we could talk about your video some more. I get home tonight and will have some time this next coming week. Let me know.
By the way I got two really good books lately:
How Languages are Learned by Nina Spada and Patsy Lightbown
and
Communicative Competence: Theory and Classroom Practice by Sandra Savignon.
Totally recommended and it’s interesting to hear other theorists say basically the same thing as Krashen and BVP.
You can find the used books on Amazon pretty cheap.
