Here’s an update on where we stand on the various topics we’ve been discussing over the summer:
I haven’t forgotten our classroom management initiative (of writing the book here over the next year). I just have to accept that that (long dreamed of by me) book will get done when it gets done. We have 17 posts published on classroom management over the summer but it’ll probably take 200 to get the book written. So we’ll keep writing that book here, knowing that it may take over a year from now to finish.
Also, I just finished doing a webinar on CI for Teacher’s Discovery today. I think later this month I’ll do another webinar on this video:
Next topic: the videos on the new Invisibles books will appear as they appear. I know why people don’t make a lot of videos now – it’s hard to find the time. But I am determined to, over the course of the next six months, or however long it takes, to create vidoes to accompany the new Invisibles books.
It’s odd that Teacher’s Discover is putting so much energy into the Big CI Book when it was written in 2014 before the Invisibles, which are far more powerful ways to deliver CI than what I have written in The Big CI Book. Oh well….
Other than that, don’t forget, as we think about gearing up for school, that you are invited to join the new FB page (https://www.facebook.com/groups/332077584409595/) devoted uniquely to the Invisibles and that the PLC will continue – as it has for over 15 years – to delve into issues about CI in general whereas that FB page will be only about the Invisibles.
