I agree Michel that TPR is key with little ones. They prefer to “do it” rather than listen.
That said… I have found that TPR has its limits even with young students.
I couldn’t keep the kids engaged with TPR alone. Stories, even mini vignettes, are more interesting.
An alternative to videos would be to read one of J. Asher’s books (Learning Another Language Through Actions).
