I have a 6th grader who found on iTunes & bought pop music I play sometimes in class. I think he’s almost memorized a couple songs (and thought he recognized some words later when they were introduced in class as a result – that’s how I found out about it). He’s a child who is automatically and often making whole-sentence conversations in class with me in his second year of Chinese. Simple sentences, yes, but correct and with feeling.
That was absolutely impossible – even after 4 years of classes – when I was teaching before CI.
I just love reading this…
with love,
Laurie
