  1. The space right before the “user166030161” should be deleted. Copy it on your browser, delete the space then press enter. Maybe Ben can edit it.

I’m listening to it on my laptop speakers… not that bad.

  2. Not bad at all. Quite the contrary. I really enjoyed. If I teach French next year I will definitely use this. It does not sound like a made for students production at all. Sounds like authentic resources to me.
Another reason I am glad for this post is that I have been looking clues as to whether or not you, Steven, are Steven Ordiano on FB groups CI Liftoff. The photos are different enough to throw one off. You are clever in many way.

    1. Thanks Nathaniel for the kudos. I really want to continue and make simple songs with a simple message. Kinda like the vision for TPRS readers but in songs I can limite even more vocabulary and thereby allow everyone to use them. Not all teachers will use the same vocabulary, structures, expressions etc…

And yes, I am Esteban on FB. The reason being is that I had an old facebook account and wanted to start from scratch.

  3. Thanks for the compliments everyone. I had a hard time with the lyrics. I wanted them to be super simple and limited. As for the teaching part, I am not sure how i would integrate this. Any suggestions for next year? I am going to reveal it to the class that inspired it and project the lyrics first. We only have 6 days. Itll be an end of the year gift.

If anyone here is musically inclined or has suggestions for future songs feel free to email me steve.ordiano at gmail dot com

  4. Great stuff! I play the guitar and sing so I’m definitely going to steal this idea. The most I’ve really done is cover Señor Wooly´s more rocking songs.

Steve, one teacher who used to be at my school (who is a BVP-ite) had the kids listen to the song, then listen to the song while reading the words, and then translate to L1 in pairs. It works pretty well and you get 3 reps on the song.

By the way, what type of music do you listen to, Ben? And Tina? From Tina’s videos I definitely get a punk rock vibe.

  5. Maybe you will be the Sr, Wooly of French! On en a méchamment besoin!!!
My students in French are so jealous of the Spanish classes because of the Sr. Wooly videos that they were sneaking them at home. So sometimes we listen to them in French class but man if there were some catchy, cute French videos I would surely show those. Go Ordiano go!

    1. Video production… euh… hmm… my school offers a semester long media class AND the teacher is supportive of our WL dept. Maybe something can be worked out.
