This is my fifth year teaching Spanish to grade school students using TPRS.
It is my best year, partly because we naturally get better with more experience, but it also is the first year I have felt free to just talk about the kids in my classes. I have intended since the beginning of the year to eventually get into the cuéntame stories, but as long as the kids are happy just talking about them, that is what we do.
The end of the year is coming too quickly….. My goal is to get each student into a story by June. There are still some waiting to be talked about. I can feel that anticipation each time I pull out a new stick with a student’s name and relevant information….. “Is it I?”
