Carol sent this in a few weeks ago but it is just making it to through the queue. I think it is an important reminder:
Dear Ben:
My French 2 class has been a little blah lately. With a forty minute period, I am sometimes loath to get actors up. Today I stuck very closely to the three structures, went out of bounds rarely, got actors up, used props (Carol Gaab’s stick figure famous people), and kept the details down to a few – only to get reps. What a difference!. I know we have all written about this before, but I myself need constant reminders. The kids said that getting actors up and using the prop faces made the difference. Oops, forgot to mention that I had a quiz writer, a story writer and a structure counter. This class is also small – 14 kids and 1 was absent.
