Sharing with Others – 2

Last week I asked for those in the group who have presented recently on behalf of our work to send in details about when and where they presented. I asked for this information not just to acknowledge those in our group who have been willing to do that, which is no small thing, but also to remind us that we are a group that is forcing change and not waiting for it to come to us. If the goal is to help kids, and if we have something that does that, we should share it. By becoming aware of what other group members have been doing in the fray of the past year – and it has been quite a year for comprehensible input instruction – we can perhaps encourage some of the other top guns in our PLC start moving out into the public eye a bit more. If Susan Gross had not given a workshop in 2001 in Colorado Springs, I am sure that my own career would have played out much differently, for the worse, or, more likely, I would have just quit the profession.
