Tim reports from Arkansas. Anyone using the MovieTalk links should know that he provided many of them so thank you for this report and for all the great MT links, Tim.
Hey Ben,
I’ve been away since right before Thanksgiving. Missed you all. Read the posts right before coming back from vacation and they really helped get me geared back up.
The most important change in my classroom this year is the timed Spanish. The kids have really taken to it. Because the true/false questions following the end of the 10-15 minutes is so simple (all they have to do is listen), they think it is easy. But I know they are picking up some important vocabulary related to their lives, not some artificial, lame scenario in a textbook.
MovieTalk continues to be a source of inspiration for me and the curriculum. Some days I wonder what in the heck am I doing, and others, I am really pleased with the way things are going. So grateful to have been upgraded from my old style TPRS and fossilized ideas.
Here’s my latest MovieTalk:
Bubbles y Bella:
encima de – on top of
nada – swims
se sube – climbs
agarra – grabs
la pelota – the ball
salta – jumps
Tim
