Thank you so much for sharing this!!! This makes me, and many others, smile and do a happy dance!!!!! Welcome to the other side…we are so glad to have you here. It’s the JOY that slides into the classroom that we love as much as the language!!
with love,
Laurie
Matthew, you are doing important work. Kudos to your colleagues who are open to the success they see in you! Happy, smiling, happy, smiling!!
Way to go!!! Keep up the excellent work!! That was how I was converted…another teacher in my department was using it and I wanted my students to be like hers in their ability to speak with confidence etc. She took me to a couple of workshops and here I am, in my 6th or 7th year and I too have never looked back (we also converted a third). I have a student teacher and I have been training him (as best I can) since that is our methodology used, he didn’t have a choice, but he too loves it and is on full board (he’s not a convert because he has never taught any other way) but he has told me that it is way better than how he had learned in the classroom.
Thanks for sharing success! It’s always good to motivate us all! And we all need it!
Hey Matthew, I’m also in Colorado Springs. I teach at North Middle School in D11. Where are you teaching? Feel free to contact me: michael.nagelkerke@d11.org
