  1. This is what I came up with for ours (in Canada):

The French as a Second Language (FSL) program is intended for students with very little previous knowledge of French, though learners who have studied French before are also welcome. It is designed to develop language ability in an innovative, fun, and stress-free way. Courses will be taught using a method called TPRS (Teaching Proficiency through Reading and Storytelling). This method will allow students to acquire French naturally by hearing it spoken and reading it in contexts that they understand.

The overarching goal of the program is that students will acquire a progressively higher level of listening, speaking, reading and writing in French in each year of the program. Students will also be introduced to cultural aspects of French-speaking countries around the world. Field trips will also give students the opportunity to experience French culture right here in Alberta.
    French 10
Grade: 10 Credits: 5 Prerequisite: none
    Additional Fee: yes

The French as a Second Language 10 course concentrates on the most-used vocabulary and language structures of French and helps students acquire them through the use of personalized stories, music, and videos. Students will also read a beginner-level novel and explore topics associated with it.
    French 20
Grade: 11 Credits: 5 Prerequisite: 50% or more in FSL 10
    Additional Fee: yes

The French as a Second Language 20 course builds on the vocabulary and language structures that students acquired in French as a Second Language 10 and continues to help students improve their acquisition of French through the use of personalized stories, music, and videos. Students will also read an intermediate-level novel and explore topics associated with it.
    French 30
Grade: 12 Credits: 5 Prerequisite: 50% or more in FSL 20
    Additional Fee: yes

The French as a Second Language 30 course builds on the vocabulary and language structures that students acquired in French as a Second Language 20 and continues to help students improve their acquisition of French through the use of personalized stories, music, and videos. Students will also read an advanced-level novel and explore topics associated with it.
