1 thought on “Question from Ben Lev”
This is what I came up with for ours (in Canada):
The French as a Second Language (FSL) program is intended for students with very little previous knowledge of French, though learners who have studied French before are also welcome. It is designed to develop language ability in an innovative, fun, and stress-free way. Courses will be taught using a method called TPRS (Teaching Proficiency through Reading and Storytelling). This method will allow students to acquire French naturally by hearing it spoken and reading it in contexts that they understand.
The overarching goal of the program is that students will acquire a progressively higher level of listening, speaking, reading and writing in French in each year of the program. Students will also be introduced to cultural aspects of French-speaking countries around the world. Field trips will also give students the opportunity to experience French culture right here in Alberta.
