I’ve done five podcasts so far. I think they are pretty good. They mainly discuss the importance of community-building and the equity piece in CI classrooms.
In later podcasts I will address other general topics related to CI, as opposed to the specifics of how to make CI work in our classrooms, which are already presented in the Ultimate CI books and which don’t lend themselves too well to a podcast format because of all the detail.
Patrons will be the only people with access to these podcasts. I will give the general public free access to a few of them, but I want to keep things en famille here. Specific links will appear in the next week.
I feel that we are slowly growing as a group. I like that. We’ll keep growing, especially with the addition to our group now of Denise and Danielle and Karin and Ron and Madi and Sonya and Chris and Greg and Bryan, who have trained in the UCI program over the past year.
I have been remiss in not thanking you all for your patronage. Alors merci!
I really enjoy making the podcasts. They allow me to “shoot from the hip”, as it were, and to say what I really think about our craft. We all do CI differently, and we should not feel that there is one method for everyone. We should be able to train and grow into the new paradigm without feeling that we are lacking in any way.
We are all individual teaching artists, and what works for one person may not work for another and so it’s not about doing CI “right”. Rather, it’s about doing it in a way that reflects our own individual teaching personalities.
