Twice in the past 6 years we have offered a CI/TPRS “strand” at the NYSAFLT conference and both times it was extremely well-received!! Let’s do it again!
I will happily volunteer to submit a proposal for Peer Coaching……Embedded Reading and anything else that we need.
I will also put a post on moreptrs asking folks interested in presenting to contact me so that we can coordinate offerings.
Saratoga Springs is closer to Mass. Vt. Conn. and other states than it is to most of NY State! If you have been wishing that you could get to Skip’s amazing Maine conference, and it just isn’t do-able, consider presenting at /attending the NYSAFLT conference.
I will let you know upfront that NY has great people, but does not offer any break or discount for presenting. (and Saratoga is an AMAZING location!!)

Laurie
That is wonderful, Laurie! Thank you so much. Actually, I was wondering why I didn’t see your name on the list. I figured you needed a break from presenting ;-). We can definitely use a workshop on embedded reading. I remember when you did this two years a go to fully packed house. I’m sure people will sign up just to see you!
I noticed that the access info for the submission form is missing. It’s
username: conference
Password: 2015
I’ve had a hard time keeping up with all of these deadlines. This extra paperwork at school really bogs me down. Ugh. I’m happy to see that it is also a different weekend than other state workshops that month. October is THE month for state language workshops in the Northeast!!
Next year is my last year of teaching at my high school. (June 2016 baby! Retirement! Well….from that job lol ) In October of 2016 I hope (all appendages crossed!) to be coming back from travel in Europe, so I really would like to be part of NYSAFLT Annual in 2015.
NYSAFLT, NECTFL, Central States, SCOLT, SWCOLT, ACTFL…..there are so many wonderful places to try to present. If I ever win that lottery, I will be the fairy godmother that finances all of you to go and present at these and more!!!!
with love,
Laurie
