In one scene from He Talks Too Much today, Itzel was furious that Hernan talked so much in class. She yelled at him to stop, slamming her fist on desk with her right hand.
Well, not really. Itzel is just a shy girl who would rather let the CI combine go on around her. So, when I sat down in the empty desk next to her and explained to the class how she yelled and pounded her fist on the desk once, I was exaggerating a little.
But, she didn’t break rule #7 either. She lip synched the words (this is level 1) while I said them, but I said them with mock anger while she smiled. And she limply put her fist on the desk when I said she slammed it down.
Now, she is no longer Itzel. She is “Iron Fist” and probably will be for the rest of the year. This is how I like names to come about in my classes – organically from class discussion.
