So true, Ben. And I have you to thank for this as your resources are what I turned to first and gave me the confidence to try this method this semester. I knew I wouldn’t survive another 15-20 years using the old traditional way, but now I actually do have fun and laugh with my students. Numerous times they have commented on how much more they enjoy the class and how much less stress it is. I like to hear this and even those days that aren’t great are way better than the traditional method! Thanks so much Ben and everyone else that has added ideas to this PLC.
And Polly you have jumped in feet first and have really gone about the transition fast. So congrats on that. I am curious as to how the actual stories, Step 2 – that process, has gone for you. I am personally returning quickly to the value of the Three Steps as stronger and funnier than any other form of CI. I just keep returning to that thought. So, if you haven’t really gotten deep into stories, you also then have that highest level of fun, in my opinion, to look forward to as well. Stories rock the method, that’s all there is to it.
