Mes Salutations Distinguées

This is from a student with two years of CI, whom I no longer teach, now taking an AP class in her third year:

Dear Mr. Slavic,

First off I wanted to thank you for being my French teacher. No other will compare to your fun genius. Second I wanted to tell you that thanks to your training for only two years I managed to take an AP French 4 class over the last school year. I was amazed that other students were so closely focused on the things you said weren’t as important and their speaking reminded me of freshman year. While I did my best on the homework and textbooks I longed for the spoken language and the way you taught class. But I guess you are off doing better hints now. I just wanted to thank you for being the teacher that gave me everything I needed to succeed and still kept pushing. I will always look back on your class with fondness and laughter at the antics we shared. I even still listen to the French 1 CD. Again, thank you and I hope you are doing well.

Dans cette attente, veuillez agréer, Monsieur, mes salutations distinguées.
