This is from Eric Spindler:
Ben,
We will be having a couple of openings at Galesburg High School and I would like to see some CI/TPRS people apply.
Galesburg is about 1300 students and located in western Illinois between the Quad Cities and Peoria. I am supported and the school does a good job of supporting me. We have an opening for Spanish and anticipate an opening for French (just not yet finalized). They may also be interested in French/Spanish or French/ESL or Spanish/ESL. I believe they have enough for all French and all Spanish however. We teach on a block 4 schedule, so teachers will probably only have two different levels to prep for at a time. We have a reasonable number of French native speakers due to a number of immigrants from the Congo as well. My department chair will be coming to NTPRS with me this year as well and she has interest in it. More questions can be directed to my Department Chair Karen McQuiggin (kmcquiggin@galesburg205.org) or myself, Eric Spindler (espindler@galesburg205.org).
Additionally as we will only be 5, and my department chair is exploring CI this hiring cycle could make us a majority CI department.
Thanks,
Eric
