I was thinking, since my boss has started to play the ‘Hmmm…you will not teach French next year……….hmmm…ok, you are teaching French next year…hmmmm…. maybe not… maybe so… maybe not…’ Game with me….
I don’t care so much about pleasing grown-up people these days.
However, I *am* trying to be as amazingly subversive as I can be. In an efficacious way, ya know? So next year, I am considering letting all of my students (high school French I, II, III and APs) keep a clean towel in a clean plastic bag in the classroom. On nice days, especially Fridays, instead of watching movies, or working, we can leave our phones in the room and go lay outside on our towels and enjoy each others’ company, or just sit quietly.
I just think the new research on spending time in nature needs to be tested out in my classroom!
Especially since my boss is messing with me, I think it is high time that I went ‘all the way’ with my iconoclasm against the ‘control’ over my students!
